Mac Pro 2008 Wifi problem

I have an old Mac Pro that I recently got to use as a file server.

Its running El Capitan 10.11.6 no problems, but I have wifi problems.

The wifi is not working on it and it does not show up on the network connections panel as an active connection or as one that I can add via create new service +

Bluetooth is running fine and I also checked inside the machine and it has an airport card installed on the motherboard.

I checked on the system information and this is what the panel says.User uploaded file

I have tried a couple of networksetup commands in terminal but the wifi appears to be disabled.

Mac-Pro:~ user$ networksetup -getairportpower en0 on

Wi-Fi Power (en0): Off (forced)

Mac-Pro:~ user$ sudo ifconfig en0 up

Password:

Mac-Pro:~ user$ networksetup -getairportpower en0 on

Wi-Fi Power (en0): Off (forced)

Any ideas on what I can try?
