My iPhone 7 Plus lock screen went grey, but I can still see notifications but not the wallpaper. How do I go this?

My iPhone 7 Plus has been like this for two days now, I thought it was because I didn’t update my phone, so I updated it and it was still grey. I can’t see the time nor can I access the passcode. Can anyone help me? Or have an explanation for this?
