ipod shows I need to plug it in with a cable when it already is
ipod shows that I need to plug it in and it is already pluged in. Appears to be frozen and iTunes does not show as a device is plugged in to sync it either

Yes I have restarted computer and tried to restart iPod however, I believe it has removed software on iPod to upgrade the software when it suddenly froze indicating I need to plug it in. Thank you for your suggestions. I will try a different cable. Thanks again.
