How can I remove black overlay from screen?

Not sure what your question means go to settings down to wallpaper choose a new wallpaper.

I am sorry, but I do not see any significant issue on that image. I do see some dark blue areas in the upper left and lower right area but would not find them to be a problem if I had the same image. I would try Brian’s suggestion of trying a different wallpaper.

Your screen shot did not get posted. Please explain what black overlay you are asking about.
