why cant callers hear me on my airpods
I have the same issue as inRe: why cant callers hear me on my airpods, but it won't let me Reply to add my fix so I'm starting a new thread.
AirPods, iOS 11.4.1
People were saying they couldn't hear me. I tried calling the echo number at 909-390-0003 and confirmed, yes, I am almost entirely inaudible on the AirPods. I switched the Airpods off and the sound improved dramaitcally.
Because I spend most of the time when I am on the phone while working, I spend most of the time while I'm on the phone in front of my iMac. I repeated the test by:
1) Walking 10 feet away from my iMac
2) Calling the echo number again
The sound came through not quite as good as just on the phone (without AirPods), but much, much better. About what you would expect.
For me, this was a Bluetooth/Mac interference problem.
Apple: two of your products are interfering with each other. I have work to do and rely on these products to conduct my business. Fix it!
