Blackmagic eGPU with Thunderbolt Display

Hi!

I´m thinking of getting a Blackmagic eGPU but I´m hesitating because I don´t know if my Thunderbolt Display will work with it.

At the moment I have a Macbook Pro 13 (2016) with a Thunderbolt Display connected to it with this adapter which works fine: Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter - Apple

But will I be able to plug the Thunderbolt Display directly into one of Blackmagic eGPUs USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports with that adapter as well? If not are there any other solutions to use Thunderbolt display together with Blackmagic eGPU?
