I have an iPhone6 and have been using it for a while. I decided I want to set up voicemail but it says “call voicemail” so then I called it and it says I have a voicemail account, which I don’t. So then I went and searched “how to set up voicemail” it told me to got on the phone app. So I went on the phone app and went to voicemai. It should say something like “set up voicemail“ but I don’t have it... all i have is “call voicemail. If I do have voicemail then I need to reset it. But how? Pls Help me.

Hello Pandakittyfun,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. The voicemail feature on the iPhone is very useful. There are some steps you can take to get it set up.

Set up Visual Voicemail on your iPhone - Apple Support

Get help with Visual Voicemail

If you can't set up Visual Voicemail, contact your carrier to make sure that your plan supports the feature.

If you need help, try these steps. Check your Visual Voicemail after each step:

  1. Try to call someone to check your cellular network connection.
  2. Make sure that you set up your voicemail. To check, dial your phone number from your iPhone.
  3. Call your iPhone from another phone and try to leave yourself a voicemail.
  4. Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.

It sounds like your carrier includes a conventional voicemail service with your cellular account (pretty much all carrier’s do), but they don’t support visual voicemail. With conventional cellular voice mail, you always have to call your inbox and check the messages there, navigating by a touch tone menu or voice commands.

So call your carrier’s support number and ask them if they support iOS visual voicemail.
