Cannot Print Documents in Color

I purchased my MacBook Pro only six months ago but have never been able to print a color document when I need to. I recently purchased a new printer and now everything is compatible. But I still can only print in B / W.

I have checked every setting I can find on my MacBook Pro. Is there a deep level setting of some type I am missing? Should I download the OS software update?

Thanks, David

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 2 TBT3), macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

What make and model of printer do you have?

Have you checked in all of the printer's print dialogue windows to see if there's a B/W checkbox that's been checked?
