The text in the cells of a table in pages is wrapping when there is still plenty of room left. It is causing the cells to be a lot taller than they need to be. How do I change the formatting so that it won't wrap the text until it is necessary?

When you click on a table cell, what do you see under Format > Text > Layout > Text Inset?

What font are you using?
Some fonts have a small x-height and will appear to have a lot of "air" around them.
