Connection to Facebook failed

I try to post something to Facebook, directly from Safari on my Mac or iPhone. For whatever reason I get an error message that says, "Cannot Post To Facebook. The post cannot be sent because the connection to Facebook failed." I have connectivity, and if I go to System Preferences on my Mac, Internet Accounts, I have allowed Notifications and the Share menu to Facebook. What am I missing?

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Isolating an issue by using another user account

Safe Mode - About

Safe Mode Startup – El Capitan. also Sierra

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Nothing that I can think of. Ive also got this and wondering if if it was broken in the last OS update as its worked well in the past.

Tried removing account , restart etc and reading and no joy. Tried on a different network and even on my phones 4G connection and still the same. Don't use it that often but id like it to work when I do.

Least it seems an issue if a few people have this..

Don't have any Adblock extensions installed.

At the time of writing, I still have this problem. How about you? I think it's NOT an Apple issue, but another security issue WITH Facebook like that privacy blunders a couple of months ago. It was ongoing for a few weeks or so, but was later on fixed (or so I thought).

Ok, I was a bit late to the Mojave party, so after updating (from Sierra) a few days ago, I have discovered that Apple ditched the social media integration for good. No more FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Flicker! It turned out that it's been going around with Mojave beta users since 4 months ago(?), and everyone thought it was just a temporary thing, little did they know that it's going to be continuing. Sad, because I used to quickshare a lot, and quickpost to my FB and Twitter. Really, what a bummer. 😕
