SonicStage for Mac

Ok, before I get flamed for this, I did'nt know where else to post this(sorry), and I did a search but no real answer for my question.

I have a Sony NW-E105 WALKMAN mp3 player that was given to me. I've searched the internet looking for a SonicStage program for Mac one that I can use to put mp3/wav onto this. I know that this has been a topic time over, but I was hoping that there was something new that is out there. I am currently deployed in the middle east(can't say where), so I don't have the option of buying a new player. I've connected the USB cable, and it shows up on Finder as UNTILTED(and shows a pic of a drive). It says USB CONNECT on the player. I've tried to drag-and-drop music, which will also show up as bieng there in Finder, but once I disconnect the cable: NO DATA> ok, wrong format. Sorry this is long, but from the posts I read in search, there is usually not enough info given. Please let me know there is hope for my cheap mp3 player.
very respectfully,

Sonic Stage is a windows only product and doesnt exist for mac nor is it likley that it ever will. You can install it under bootcamp if your mac can use it, but thats it.

SonicStage is owned by Sony and its up to them to support it on the Mac side of things.

Mac doesnt support the proprietary file transfer system that Sony uses, thats why dragging and dropping wont work.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if there is a generic program that will allow me to transfer music to whatever format SonicStage is using, which I think is atrac(which I understand is also propreitary). Is there any other program out there? I know this topic has been around for a while, there has to be something! ((maybe a downloadable plug-in for iTunes??))

Nope, ATRAC and Magic Gate (the two technologies that Sonly sues to transfer data) are proprietary and controlled by them. There has not been any software available to the Macs that handles these technologies. They are PC only programs and since Sony owns them, they wouldnt be too keen to other companies reverse engenerrig their software to prot it to anybody else.

Your only option is to run SonicStage under bootcamp or Paralells.

How safe would that be, running bootcamp? And how
would I get this?

It is my understanding that you can install a free PC program from Sony that will allow you to drag and drop MP3s to your Walkman without using Sonicstage. You can get it here:
