I wanted to use Photo Booth on my MacBook Pro for a friends gathering.
I tried everything, but couldn’t find anything on it
which is a bit odd, considering the iPhone @ around $1500 can do it, but my $4,500 special build MacBook doesn’t. Maybe they should. 😉
would the good folks or Apple person on here please provide some options?
Oh, I really do not want to use my phone in this instance.

It's not entirely clear what you are asking. Are you wanting to zoom something on-screen on your MacBook Pro or are you looking for Photo Booth ? If you want to zoom, try holding down control while you do a 2 fingered scroll up to enlarge, down to return to original. Looking for Photo Booth, try Spotlight (hit command and space bar or the magnifying glass at the top of your screen).

Permit me to clarify, MacBook Pro, using Photo Booth in video mode.
I wanted to do a close up whilst recording so was looking for a zoom option
1) to do a close up on the video being recorded
2) But also seeing the close up on the MacBook Photo Booth screen
Its kind of when recording a video on the IPhone, you can see the close up when using the zoom function both on screen and recording
Its the best way I can describe it
And BTW, I have no doubt that Apple monitors this, they may actually come up with new ideas and possibly come up with solutions on their next updates or products.
