My iPhone 8+ screen went black. It's not off - the screen just went black. Tried vol up dwn, tried to turn off n back on....etc nothing

Please try the following: THIS IS HARD RESTART
- Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
- Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
- Press and hold the Side button (aka power) until you see the Apple logo.
If you are still unable to gain access I suggest you try to connect it to power and try the above again.
If it fails I would suggest you make a Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
