Why when I try update something does it ask for a password for my old Apple ID account

Items gotten from the iTunes Store or Mac App Store(except for podcast episodes) will have the Apple ID used to download them stored inside them. For applications, it’ll be required to update them, and can’t be changed without deleting and redownloading them.
