Why is my connected Bluetooth speaker not an available device?

I have connected and played my iPhone to my Bluetooth speaker in the past. Recently I connected and played my iPhone to another Bluetooth speaker. Now, even though the old speaker is Bluetooth connected, it does not show up as an available device. I’ve deleted the new speaker from my paired devices.

put the Bluetooth speaker into pairing / discovery mode and repair it to the phone

how it's put in pairing mode would be in the manual of the Bluetooth speaker or on the site of the manufacturer
