Airplay 2 icon goes missing on all IOS devices after a day or so??

Hello,

The Airplay 2 icon on all four of our IOS devices (but not on either of our OSX devices) goes missing after about a day of use. Its most frustrating.

a) all IOS devices and streaming speakers are on the same single Airport extreme network

b) all IOS devices have the latest IOS version as does the Airport extreme

c) I have tried all the usual remedies

1) soft or hard reboot the IOS devices. This works straight away (the Airplay icon reappears in every audio app) but stops after a day or so.

2) reboot the airport extreme wifi hub. Same result as 1) above.

3) reboot the router. Same result as 1) above.

4) delete any of the IOS streaming apps and reinstall them. Usually no effect at all. No Airplay.

5) power down and back up each of the streaming speakers. No airplay.

Any suggestions would be most welcome. This behaviour only started with Airplay 2 and the latest IOS update!!!!

Thanks,

Bill..

The two streaming speakers are a Bose and Naim speaker. Both worked perfectly with all IOS and OSX devices until Airplay2 arrived.

Since these are the current common denominator, I would venture to guess that they both are AirPlay-capable, but maybe not AirPlay 2-capable.

Powering down and back up again the AirPort Extreme temporarily gives all IOS devices access to Airplay again for about a day. I suspect this is an important clue!! Rebooting each IOS device also gives that device Airplay again.
