iPad Air 2 turns off when fully charged

Hi,

My daughters iPad, when fully charged turns off and displays low battery. Doing a hard reset will eventually work once the battery is below 100%. I have ensured it is fully up to date, tried a restore, tried resetting it and setting it up as new and the same thing keeps happening. Now it has started turning off when the battery reaches 14%.

I am assuming there is a problem with the hardware But can’t determine if it is battery or sensor related. Can Anyone help?

You should bring it to an Apple Store for an hardware diagnostic then. Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple

There have been small handful of post with this issue and seems to be only affecting the 1st gen iPad Air models.

Not sure if it is a failing battery with these post, or an iOS 11.4.1 issue or another type of hardware issue.

Bring your iPad into your “local” Apple store for diagnosis and possible options.

Good Luck to You!
