I added a $25 iTunes and it said $25 has been added to your balance then under it said your balance is $19.78 why is that

I just want the money I put in to be $25 that’s bull **** like is apple adding some kind of payment to add money through gift cards

The first step would be to view your purchase history to determine if there was an unpaid balance. When you update your billing information (including redeeming a gift card), the App Store or iTunes Store automatically attempts to charge any outstanding orders. The following support article will walk you through how to view your purchase history:

If there doesn't appear to be any outstanding orders that were paid for using the gift card balance, try signing out of Settings > iTunes & App Store. Sign back in with your Apple ID, then check if the balance is corrected.
