iMac mid-2015 from Europe to Canada (220v to 110v)

Hello everyone,

I have seen that the iMac is compatible with both 110v and 220v, with automatic swith : could you confirm it is right and that it will be automatic ?

Moreover, I am looking for a power cable US/CA compatible (to avoid using an adaptator), but I don't find the article : I see this kind of article for Macbook, but not for the iMac.

Do you know where to find the cable, or do I just need to add a universal adaptator to my french power cable ?

from the lowly ipod charger to macs psu are universal and handle changes automatically no user intervention

the plug on the ac cable one plug into the wall are the only thing which are different

the ac cable of imacs are the industrial std. same cable as many desktop computers and printers and monitors

what goes into the imac is a plug of this type

the other end needs the std ac connector one use in the wall plugs of the country one reside in

but cables without them work fine.
