You cannot download apps using Safari.
You have to use App Store app on your iPhone.
Also your iPhone cannot download apps that requires iOS 11.
If an app requires iOS 11 means it's a 64bit app, your iPhone with iOS 10.3.3 can only run 32bit apps.
Thank you for your response, my problem is that when I go on to the App Store on my iPhone, the only option Im offered when trying to download the app for Pages, Numbers etc, is one that needs a minimum of ios11 to download. Im not sure how the App Store is not aligned to the operating system it runs on (re: 32bit vs 64bit), or how to access 32bit apps?
I have tried to download, but get the message that my device is incompatable and needs ios11 or higher. Just wondering what you meant by "if Ive purchased a version previously". Do Pages and Numbers come with the operating system by default?
Unable to redownload apps to my iPhone5 running ios 10.3
