How to stop screenshots uploading to iCloud

Hi there,

I recently started using iCloud Photos to store photos taken on my DSLR. However, I noticed that since I have iCloud Photo upload enabled, all my screenshots of random things over the past year or so are saved in iCloud. I would like it so that only photos taken on the camera on my iPhone as well as photos from my camera that I manually upload are saved in iCloud - the screenshots etc can just be stored on my phone. Would I be able to a) prevent screenshots uploading to Photos so that Photos.app on my iMac just shows photos taken from my camera and phone and b) Delete all the screenshots that are currently stored in iCloud. Thanks

If you want to keep your screenshots on the iPhone and not immediately delete them, you will have to save them to Photos, and then they will upload to iCloud Photo Library.

But once the screenshots sync to your Mac, you will find them there in the album "Screenshots".

To remove them from iCloud export them from Photos on your Mac and save them in a local folder or a second Photos Library that is not syncing with iCloud Photo Library. Then delete them from your main Photos Library.
