i was sent a video clip through text on my iphone 6. I lost the phone before I had the chance to backup into the cloud! Is the video lost and unrecoverable?

I can only think of a couple options. 1) Contact the person/people who was sent the Clips video, and ask them to send a copy back to you. 2) if you used iMessage and you have access to your messages elsewhere, say on a Mac, iPad, or iCloud, you may be able to see a copy of the video if you look at the history of the recipient(s).
