Change information in Apple ID - https://appleid.apple.com/

Change your Apple ID - https://support.apple.com/HT202667 - "Follow these steps to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID." Plus special instructions if your Apple ID ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com

TY for reply,

But, I have already changed my Apple ID but and can sign into iCloud with it, but devices still want me to sign into iCloud using my old email address for which I don't have a password or a verizon account any longer..

When I go to forgot my password, it wants me to change my new account password which I have done, but it still doesn't take me to where I can delete the old iCloud account email address.

I have this same problem. changed my apple id and it is saved in my icloud, and you aren't able to change. Did you ever find an answer?
