How do I remove the rescue email address form my account if the edit or delete button doesn't appear?

I don't use that rescue e-mail anymore.

Go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and sign in. Scroll down to the Security section and click 'Edit':

Then click 'Change email address':

Enter the new address (you will probably be asked to verify it) and click 'Done'.
