Issue with adjustment layers FCPX

Hey all,

I updated my FCP am now using FCPX 10.4.2 and am trying to add an adjustment layer but nothing I try has worked, I've downloaded numerous different adjustment layer files and placed them in the right folder Movies - Motion Templates - Titles restarted FCP to no avail, there is still no option for a custom adjustment layer,

Is there a little trick with the latest version that I haven't got the memo for? This is starting to get super annoying as its halted all my editing,

Thanks in advance

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), iOS 10.3.1, null

Templates need to be placed inside "category" folders.

When you look for templates in FCPX, you start with Effects/Transitions or Titles/Generators. When you open those inspsectors up, you'll find lists of categories like "3D Cinematics". These categories or actually created by that extra folder layer. So you need to create another level of folder, it can be named whatever you like (does not require upper case) and inside that folder is where you will place your adjustment layer Titles. There is also no need to restart FCPX.

The "path" would be:

~/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/<your category folder here>/<your Titles here>

Note that Movies, Motion Templates and Titles need to be ".localized". You can check this (and add if necessary) by right clicking the folder and selecting Get Info. Check the Name & Extensions textbox. You should see Movies.localized, Motion Templates.localized, etc. Your category folder and individual templates do not need to be localized.
