Apple on Amazon?

Good morning, users. So, I love amazon. I have been looking at devices in amazon and have noticed something odd.

I do not want to share the screenshot and have other people get scammed.

So, on the top where it shows the seller it says Apple. And i thought, "hey, that cant be right." Does apple sell stuff on amazon? Because apples logo and name is on a company which is claiming to be apple on amazon.

They are representing the Products as genuine Apple, and if you read closely, the Re-Seller is Amazon (or in some cases, someone else who may or may not be an authorized Re-Seller).

If you are doing business the an Apple-Authorized Re-Seller, you are buying genuine Apple products from someone Apple supplies directly. These should be eligible for Apple warranty, but do your homework and be sure.

If the Seller (not just the shipper) is NOT an Apple-Authrorized Re-Seller, you may as well be buying from a private party off Craigs List -- there is no Apple oversight of anything, and the products are not likely to be eligible for Apple warranty or AppleCare.

Amazon itself DOES appear to claim to be an Apple Authorized Re-Seller.

That status was originally created for developers who wanted to add items (typically their custom software) to a Mac and sell computer-and-software together. many online re-sellers exist today, such as B & H Photo, Adorama, MacMall, and others.

When buying from a Re-Seller, the Re-Sellers terms and conditions apply. There may be no free 14-day exchange, for example.
