word document in compatibility mode
I have a word document that all of the sudden has a compatibility mode issue. how can this be changed? The Os is High Sierra, version 10.13.6. thank you

Try the following:
Open the document and then Save as, and give the document a different name.
Exit Word and reboot Word.
