thunderbolt 2 to usb-c adapter
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) has 2 Thunderbolt 2 ( mini-display port) connectors. Is there an adapter to convert to usb-c ?

Yes, there is an adapter to convert Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 (as mentioned by CT). Note that this adapter is only effective when paired with a Thunderbolt 2 cable, and doesn't support Mini DisplayPort.
Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter - Apple (CA)
Although Apple doesn't sell USB-C to Mini DisplayPort cables, you can probably purchase one from a third party if desired.

Thank You and CT for your responses. I was initially confused by the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 - ie the reverse of what I needed. I now see that it is bi-directional, so using various cables and adaptors this may work. The reason for asking was I want to connect my Thunderbolt 2 devices ( both iMac and Macbook ) to an external HD or more likely SDD with USB 3.1 ( USB-C ).
