Iphone SE Charging and Connection Problems
Hello everyone🙂
I have 2 problems with my Iphone SE 64 gb that i bought around 2 years ago, that just started recently.
My Iphone and Itunes are fully updated and i am running windows 10.
For almost 2 weeks now i have not been able to charge my Iphone without having to turn it off. If i plug it in while on, the battery fluctuates 1 or 2% around whatever it was when i plugged it in and slowly drops.
The second problem is that i have tried connecting my Iphone SE to my laptop and 2 different personal computers. All of them give the same error message which says that the last USB device could not be recognized. I have tried connecting to several machines with several cables in several ports. Tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling too on my laptop.
So to solve my first problem i found out 2 days ago that while ordinary Iphone adapters and cables wont charge it when on, if i use a 12w apple adapter with the same cable, it will charge when on.
So my question is twofold:
1) Will my iphone SE degrade over time using the more powerful adapter?
2) What component of my Iphone is causing these issues?
I believe it to be the Iphone charging port and the first thing i did was look for dirt. I believe it looks totally clean and all the stores i went to, including a Humac told me the same. I also got told in the Humac that while he believes, at a glance, the charging port is faulty, Apple does not repair that part and so my only option would be to buy a new Iphone or go to a third party store, as the warranty is expired.
