On the latest OS, why can't I pick individual songs to download from a CD instead of downloading all songs from a CD. On previous versions I could check boxes for songs to be downloaded. These are CDs that are not online, but physical CDs. Thanks so much.

It works the same way it always did.
You may have accidentally disabled the checkboxes. You can re-enable them by going to Preferences > General, and check the box for "Show List Checkboxes."
