Many songs were missing in my purchased song list

I bought a new iPhone and when I downloaded my songs from iTunes, many songs were missing in my purchased song list. How can I retrieve them? I can track the songs I own because I also have them on my iPad.

Retrieving Deleted songs from iTunes So my daughter had my iPhone and somehow deleted two of my songs from my library. I can't find them anywhere and don't know how to go about retrieving them. If I look up the two songs in the iTunes Store, it still shows "Purchased," but I don't know how to get them back in my library. I went to my iTunes Store on my phone and selected "More," then "Purchased," then "Music," and selected "All Songs." It still doesn't show up on that list?

where'd my songs go? I downloaded songs years ago (maybe on my old iphone or even an ipod--can't completely remember) but they're not showing up in my music. When I go to the itunes store app on my iphone to purchase it (again), next to the title it says 'purchased' but it definitely doesn't show up in my music library. I even try to click on 'purchased' maybe to re-download it, but it does nothing. Please help, I miss my old songs!
