iCloud Contacts Not Syncing to Mac Correctly
Hello all,
Relatively new Mac user here. I don't have an iPhone but planned on getting one soon due to the functionality between my Macbook Air and my phone. One of the best features I wanted was my contacts to sync between my phone and Mac through iCloud. I originally set-up about half my contacts on my Mac, and then the rest on iCloud.com from another PC.
Now that I am ready to get an iPhone, I went and added photos to all of my contacts. Unfortunately these are not working correctly between my mac and icloud. Contact photos added in the mac will not upload to icloud. As a workaround, I updated everything through iCloud.com with all the photos, updated names, and job titles.
I deselected contacts in icloud settings (on mac), restarted, and re-selected icloud contacts for them to re-sync with my Mac. Unfortunately, it syncs contact incorrectly. None of the contact photos appear and the job titles and names come up with the old info (from when I originally created them on mac). Since all "on my mac" contacts were deleted, I don't understand how it could be pulling the old info since iCloud is already updated.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? It's quite frustrating considering it's all perfect in iCloud.com. I just want my Mac to mirror that. I'm pretty new to Macs, so if there is something technical I need to do please be very detailed. I attempted to search on here, and saw something about deleting contact info from Library/Containers but I couldn't find that folder.
Thank you, and I appreciate your help!
