Why are some options greyed out when using Preview to edit photo's? I want to use the selection menu but i only have a rectangle selection available.

I use Photos version 3
I opened Preview from my launchpad. I don’t have an option to use a drop down menu on the selection tab.
I don’t know what the editing option is that you use.

The extension is called External Editors for Photos and this link will take you to the App Store: Download it from the Mac App Store!
Then when you edit with Preview or any image editor that's located in your Applications folder the changes will be reflected in the thumbnail and you can do a revert to original at any time.
