iTunes cloud/download symbol

I have duplicate songs when I buy albums, one with this symbol next to it. Please explain the purpose of it, thanks.

Duplicate songs in iTunes I want to delete duplicate songs in my iTunes library. I see all my duplicates but for each song, one shows the cloud symbol next to it and the other one doesn't. How do I know which duplicate to delete? Or does it really matter?

Duplicate songs with different iCloud symbols hello. I’m sure my question has been asked in the past. If it has, please direct me to the thread. I noticed some songs in Apple music are not synced to my phone. I finally opened music app on my 2013 MacBook Pro. First thing I noticed it that songs are duplicated but with different iCloud symbols. One has the ready to download symbol and the other is dotted iCloud symbols. Can someone please let me know what this means. Will manually deleting the dotted iCloud symbol songs mess up my iCloud music library. Please help.
