Health app says my watch is no longer paired to this phone

i tried the suggested fixes of restarting phone and watch. Still receiving the same message

Hello.

Is your Activity still updating though? Is your Apple Watch seem to be paired in the Watch app?

Did you try to unpair the watch? I would recommend to do that.
