Display Date on top of Screen Iphone X

I've searched here and the internet and can't seem to find a solution. Is there a way to have the date shown next to the time at the top of the screen on my Iphone?

iPhone X, iOS 11.2.5

If you place the calendar icon on the home page at the top left corner, you will have the date on the home screen because the calendar app always shows the date (day of week and day of month). It is a work around but at least you can see the date on the first page of the home screen.
