I´m running macOS 10.13.6 on a 2017 iMac with QuickTime 10.4. Is there any way to make QT open a film at exactly where it was last stopped and closed? Every time I open a movie it always opens back at the beginning, 00:00, even if I closed it when it was at 10:23, for example. I can´t find any settings to "bookmark" a movie. FWIW, VLC gives you a choice to start over or where you left off. It also plays many more formats.

If you close the file then it will reopen at the beginning. If you quit and then start Quicktime Player it should keep the position in any open file.
