quicktime pro on new MacBook pro

I have been using quicktime pro 7 for a long time and I have a license code. I recently bought a MacBook pro using OS10.13.6. All the pro features are now grayed out. I attempt to re-register but Safari says it cannot find the pro registration server. I know Apple has dropped quicktime pro but since I own a licensed copy seems that I should be able to use it. Is there any way to update my registration?

Possible the server is simply down at the moment. I have QT7 Pro running on my Mac under High Sierra. Maybe try again later, or tomorrow.

You may already know this, but it's forever 32 bit software as version 7 will never see another update. It still runs under Mojave (which has somewhat limited 32 bit support), but will be fully dead in whatever comes after Mojave since that OS will be 64 bit only.

Per Urquhart1244's note, entering the pro registration information has nothing to do with Safari, or the Internet in general.

Open QuickTime 7. Go to the menus and choose QuickTime Player 7 > Registration…

In the field that opens, type in or copy/paste the information from the purchase confirmation email exactly as it it shown. If there is no Organization info in that email, leave it blank. The main note for the odd way this screen works is you must tab through each entry. Including the last one. As soon as you do, the logo should change to Pro.
