Songs in library won't load onto ipod

I had to reboot my computer about 2 months ago and since then, the songs that I purchase off of itunes and the songs I get from my cd's won't load on the ipod. And when I plug my ipod into the computer, it keeps flashing " do not disconnect." The photos will load on it though. I've tried syncing it, changing the drive letter and Im out of ideas. And I have the latest version of itunes.

I'm having this issue as well. Some of the songs are ones I ripped from already purchased CD's... but some of the songs that won't download onto my ipod from my itunes are ones that I bought through itunes! These issues came to light when I had to completely uninstall both itunes and quicktime to update them correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rebooting your computer should not cause the problem of not being able to transfer your ITunes/ CD music to your IPOD.

Do a manual Reset on IPOD--by selecting
Menu and Center simultaneously, for about 6 seconds.
You may have to do this several times, then re-try IPOD , ITunes music or CD song transfer!!
Then see if this makes a difference> you need to verify if the problem is with your Windows,Computer operation, ITunes, IPOD; etc. first

To "drag and drop" content into the iPod is done by switching your settings to "Manually manage music and videos".

You can't drag files to your iPod when you're syncing; this method is only if you are doing things "manually".

After you've switched your settings to "manually manage", you should be able to go to the "Library", and drag files from the library areas to your iPod (in the source list), using your main selection mouse button (usually is the left button) to select the file, and drag them.

Hello again. Well with windows you need to open up File Explorer. Then click on "Tools", scroll down to "Folder Options". Then click on "View" and scroll down (if needed) and take the checkmark out of "Hide extensions of known file types". Click "Apply", then click "Ok". After this you will be able to see the extension name of all the files on your hard drive, well except for your system files. The mp4 part will be on the tale end of the filename. Example: Judy.mp4
Hope this helps ya.
