I recently had problems trying to burn a CD. I'm getting the following error:
The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (0xC0AA0301).

Thank you again. I downloaded latest update. Started to burn CD, but noticed after burning 1 or 2 songs, it displayed 3 minutes left, yet I am burning to an 80-min audio CD. Are there some settings that should be modified (see screenshot below.
CD burning in iTunes has been broken to some degree or other since build 12.7.1. đ Try selecting the playlist you want to burn, then right-click on the playlist name in the sidebar and use Burn Playlist to disc there, rather than using the option in the File menu.

Then go lower. Probably a good idea to test with erasable discs.

Thank you for responding, but after burning 2 songs, I am getting the same error message.
Version 12.7.5.9
Update to 12.8.0.150 and see if that fares any better. There may well be a new build next week.

Try using a lower burn speed for better reliability, e.g. one or two steps below the maximum offered.

Just tried with setting @ 16x....got that same error message.
Using an HP high-speed CD-R disc worked! Previously, I was using a Sony CD-R audio disc.
