I am continually receiving robo calls from a telephone prefix spoofing my own phone numeber's area code and prefix. I want to block the entire range of numbers. Example 212-123-xxxx - I want to block 10000 numbers (0000-9999) - How do I manually add the numbers, yes I realize it would be painful, but I want to know how.

It would probably be easier to subscribe to an app like NoMoRoBo. It's very, very good at catching those types of calls.
The only way to add them manually would be to add the number to your Contacts, then block that contact. Once the number is blocked, you can delete the contact.
They examine the incoming number, and if it is on their block list they send it to voicemail. And for "lookalike" numbers (same NPA-NXX) they block it if is not in your contact list. nomorobo.com was the first call blocker for landlines, and they got a $50,000 prize from the US Federal Trade Commission for having a workable solution that went mainstream. They expanded to mobile phones over a year ago, and their latest app also includes an ad blocker.
As privacy is already zero, it can't decrease any further.

Would the app above automatically add them to a block list so it would not even engage my phone going forward (after the initial call)? Trying to reduce the number of 'touches' or 'tasks' I would have to perform after the contact. Ideally, get to 0 - but this is seeming unlikely.
If I were concerned about the privacy of my incoming calls, I would be using VoIP or a a burner. My wireless carrier already knows every incoming and outgoing call associated with my number. And, they will turn it over to law enforcement with a subpoena in a heartbeat.
Who is your carrier? AT&T offers a free service they refer to as call protect. It will attempt to identify and automatically block many scam calls and telemarketers and will allow you to block calls at the carrier level using their app. See of your carrier offers something similar.

I don't believe the NoMoRoBo adds the calls to the blocked list in your phone. They maintain their own blacklist. Once you install and subscribe, you don't need to do much of anything.
Are they re-routing your calls through their system? I don't see how else they could effectively block calls other than that or adding a contact or numbers to the blocked call list on the phone...
That doesn't seem like a great idea in this world of ever decreasing privacy...
