my computer got wet inside my backpack I have had it for 3 months

I am in Thailand. It is monsoon season. My MacBook was in my back pack. The screen look's to have water damage from what I am reading. Everything works but the screen looks awful. I have had this computer for 3 months! what the heck! Nothing else is wet in my back pack and the computer was not wet at all. I only realized it is water damage because of looking online what it could be.
