MBPro 32 GB Memory Upgrade (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

Hi.

Need to confirm the max. memory upgrade possible (32 GB?) & if that's available through Apple directly or authorized partner for a:

  • MBPro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) - does the motherboard memory slots support this option?
  • Currently contains the 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory supplied direct from Apple manufacturing.
  • CPU: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

Three weeks after I purchased this MacBook Pro, Apple announced the newest versions which included the 32 GB memory.

Thanks.

It's actually WORSE than others have indicated. It is multiply impossible.

Not only is there no place to put any additional Ram above 16GB on any recent MacBook pro model, but if you could put it in there, the processor can not see it.

Only the very newest processor model can address that much memory, and only of you buy it with that memory already installed.
