Adding Apple gift cards to Wallet

None of these work for apple store cards. There is no pass section for the wallet. Only debit/credit and Apple Pay cash.

If your phone is updated and you follow my instructions you will be able to add an Apple Store Gift Card. I know this because I just added one to my wallet/passbook the day I posted the instructions.

dear you instruction only work if you have the physical card. we are talking about the Email received from apple for the store Gift that does not have QR code only the PIN.

To add an APPLE STORE gift card to your wallet:

Open the wallet app. This is the important part. You have to actually open the app, not bring it up with a double click from a sleeping screen.

Scroll down to the bottom of your card list and tap “edit passes”

Tap “scan code” and scan the code. It will take you to the Apple websit and allow you to confirm adding to your wallet.

No more worrying about loosing your card. Good stuff! Happy shopping.

If it’s a physical card, you can use your camera to scan the QR code. You’ll be prompted to open apple.com; tap that and the card, its value, and the QR will display. Tap “add” in the upper right corner and it will be added to Wallet.

I used to be able to do this within Wallet, but now I can only add credit cards...

If it is an iTunes card you can open iTunes and add them that way.

Are you trying to add it through the app or through settings (wallet app)?
