Viewing 2 calendars in the same window

I switched from one Mac to another Mac and I no longer see all my calendar in the same window... I tried all possible things to make this happen and had been unsuccessful.

So to go detailed on this, I have different calendars but all of them are on different windows. If I do the merge all calendars, I get a window where the calendars are tabbed. On my Mac which I moved from, the calendars were visible in the same tab and did not have to switch tabs.. what am I missing?

Any pointers tips gladly appreciated! Thanks!

To be clear, I have 2 calendar accounts :

accounta@mac.com which has 3 calendars

accountb@gmail.com which has 4 calendars

Now on my first MacBook Pro and iCal I have a iCal window - single window, where I see events from all 7 calendars in one view. I can add events in the calendar and choose which calendar I want to put that event on. I have one consolidated view for all 7.

On the new MacBook Pro, I can only see events from 5 calendars - 3 calendars from my accounta@mac.com and 2 calendars from my accountb@gmail.com account. So in a consolidated view I see 5 calendars. If I go to the Windows for iCal, I see the other 2 calendars on accountb@gmail.com, and If I click it, then iCal opens a new window which has events from the other 2 calendars. On first macBook, clicking a calendar will always update the consolidated view to add/remove the calendar.. never a new window.

Both the Macs are running the same macOS High Sierra versions and the same set of accounts.
