For example, if I see a notification from an app offering a special deal, tap it to go to the app, but then switch away from the app. I can't then get the deal because the app doesn't remember, and the notification no longer appears...anywhere, as far as I can tell. This is on iOS 11.4.1.
Unless you open the notification center from the lock screen. If you are allowing notifications to show in history you can find them but if you delete a notification or clear it you cannot see it again.
