Can I use my google home max with my macbook and my Ipad?

I have no issues using the google max speaker (a gift for my birthday) but I can not seem to get my macbook pro and ipad to see it. Is there a way to get these devices to pair and play?

iOS devices require to install Google Home App which is available at App Store for free.

As for MacBook, MacBook is just pairs by Bluetooth.
