Backing up Broken phone

I have broken my iPhone 7. I will be sending it off to be repaired but need to back up the phone. The screen is cracked; so it’s hard to see what I’m doing. My phone is synced with my iPad Air 2, so I was wondering if I actually needed to back up the phone or would all the info be wiped off the phone as well as the iPad when repaired.

Hallo nadine167! You definitely need to backup your phone before sending it off to be repaired! Try making a backup by connecting your phone to a Mac or PC and then using the latest version of iTunes (12.8) if possible. You then set up the backup directly in iTunes, so you don't have to actually see your phones screen. If you're able to make a backup then you can restore your repaired phone from it. Hopefully your phone is not too damaged to make a backup! This article from Apple might help you:
