How can I get sling tv on my first generation Apple TV?

We cut the cable cord and are using a first generation Apple TV trying to get sling on it. How do we get it?

Yours is not the 1st generation, if you are a cord cutter. Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

You can however use AirPlay to stream Sling TV from a mobile device to Apple TV (2nd generation or later).

You can't, because you can't add apps to the older Apple TVs. You need a 4th generation or a 4k version.
