I purchased Apple TV from USA. I confirmed with sales person in Apple store if it can be operate on 220 volts. They confirmed that it is duel voltage and can operate in 220 volts. After unpacking the product I saw in the power cord it is mentioned 110 volts. Kindly suggest still is it safe to insert the unit in 220 voltA to operate?
Yes it will works if you use a different power cord. The internal power supply is the same worldwide for the variants of regional voltages and frequencies.
The power cord says 110 volts because it has a US plug. You can buy a new cord with a 230 volt plug. It doesn't have to be from Apple. You could cut off the US plug and install a different plug on the US cord, or use a plug adapter.
